It is a device that prevents fluid leakage, consisting of at least one pair of end faces perpendicular to the axis of rotation, acting under fluid pressure and the elasticity (or magnetism) of compensating mechanisms, along with the cooperation of auxiliary seals, to maintain conformity and relative sliding. 

Application:

Hard alloy mechanical seal rings are widely used in petroleum, chemical, machinery, and other pipeline seals, such as seal faces, oil film seals, spring mechanical seals, and high-speed pumps.
